Woodlawn Theatre Presents The Little Mermaid

Woodlawn Theatre and Anew You Medical Weight Loss and SPA present Disney’s The Little Mermaid, an under and above high seas story of Ariel, an adventurous young mermaid who’s got a thing for disobeying the rules and following her heart. Ariel’s fascination with the human world often leads her to the sea surface, a zone that’s designated as “off-limits” by her father Triton, the sea king. One day while sneaking to the surface, Ariel witnesses a shipwreck and rescues Prince Eric, with whom she become instantly smitten. Furious at Triton’s inability to understand her love for the prince, Ariel runs away and strikes a deal with Ursula, Triton’s evil witch of a sister, to experience the life she dreams of on land.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a wonderful way to beat the heat this summer. Director Jason Mosher, Music Director Darrin Newhardt, and Choreographer Alonzo Corona bring the animated film to life, providing a magical bubbling experience for all. Families can sing along to their favorite medleys from the animated film, and enjoy new and exciting numbers that will have them feeling “Under The Sea”. The San Antonio Express News’, Deborah Martin calls the show “a charmer from start to finish“.

Woodlawn Theatre strives to bring quality, entertaining, educational, and affordable programming for all ages to the arts and culture scene in San Antonio.
