Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc. (TMMTX) established operations in San Antonio, Texas in October 2003 at our groundbreaking ceremony on our 2000 acre campus. In November 2006, the first TMMTX Tundra’s began rolling off the assembly line. TMMTX represents a $2.2 billion Toyota investment in the Lone Star State. It’s also where an approximate 6,000 team members from Toyota and On-Site Suppliers build the Tundra full-size pickup and the Tacoma compact pickup. We have the capacity to build up to 200,000 vehicles each year on the TMMTX line. TMMTX is Toyota’s first plant to integrate production facilities for many of our suppliers on the same campus, and in some cases, under the same roof. Seven of those suppliers are minority joint ventures, including six that are locally owned.

Toyota Texas embraces the Toyota philosophy of the “Toyota Way” which champions the respect for our team members and the pursuit of continuous improvement, or kaizen.

At Toyota, safety and quality is a priority in everything we do — from team member safety to the vehicles we put on the road to the people who drive them. We are a quality driven company where our team members take pride and ownership to provide the best quality vehicles to our customers.

Our respect for all people is also mirrored in our attention to the community on a local, national, and global level. TMMTX is deeply committed to being a great community partner and is focused on supporting programs in ways that achieve long-term sustainable results. TMMTX supports numerous organizations across the city, with a particular concentration on education and workforce development.

Here at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas our dedicated team members and 21 on-site suppliers are committed to building “Always Better Trucks” Right Here in San Antonio Texas, the Home of Toyota Truck Country.
