This month marks the 300th birthday of our beloved San Antonio and already we are in full gear with great events and colorful celebrations. We here at Style Lush TV are also in full gear, prepping for May 31st with our fashionable contribution to the season.

Fashion elite, save the date for May 31st as we present Look Local Night, the city’s chicest incentive to shop local! Look Local Night is in its second year and is an annual celebration of our local retail entrepreneurs. In the spirit of valuing their hard work and the cultural integrity their businesses bring to our city, Look Local Night will showcase their latest inventory on the runway and give elite shoppers the opportunity to buy the fashion before anyone else at their pop up shop located onsite. This year, in honor of the Tricentennial, we are celebrating bigger and better than ever. Prepare for a glamorous evening of fashion as we move the event to one of San Antonio’s most famous locations, Houston Street. Rich in retail history, Houston Street will serve as the perfect backdrop for the evening and aims to support the Activate Houston Street Initiative that is currently gaining momentum.

Our direct partner for the evening is OPEN Downtown Pop Up Shops. If you have ever dreamed of a brick and mortar in the heart of the City, you will want to come out and meet the organization. The program is an initiative of the Center City Development and Operations Department (CCDO) in partnership with property owners and retailers to offer local entrepreneurs a no-cost/ low-cost short-term lease in vacant downtown properties. The OPEN Downtown Pop Up Shop Program creates an environment that engages customers, offers participants a vibrant urban space and shepherds those who are ready to move into a brick and mortar in the heart of our fabulous City.

The event is free to the public but elite shoppers will want to purchase the Style Lush VIP Ticket Experience. Gain access to the VIP area with luxury spirits, “mini manis” with the talented Color Me Polish & Nail Creations on Broadway, makeup touches with award winning talent from TWIRL Salon and be entered to win a pair of tickets to the San Antonio Fashion Awards happening October 11th, 2018.

We made this decision with the greatest care for our organizational values of leadership, community, and accountability, and we hope you’ll read more about it on our blog.

Our website is live with our final data release, showing where San Antonio stands on reaching the shared community vision. The data release is accompanied by our final call to action—a policy agenda for City government based on our unique bird’s-eye view of San Antonio.
