May 2013 Per Capita Income
The American Community Survey calculates per capita income for San Antonio by dividing the total income for individuals 15 years or older by the total population in the City. Per Capita Income decreased slightly from 2010 to 2011 leaving San Antonio significantly off track from achieving a 25% increase by 2020. San Antonio also falls well below per capita numbers for both Texas ($24,682) and the U.S. ($26,708). A 10-year trend analysis is currently being conducted to better understand San Antonio’s historical income growth.
