A neighborhood association is a group of residents or property owners who advocate for or organize activities within a neighborhood, while a community organization is defined as civil society nonprofits that operate wholly on social issues such as health, education, the environment, personal growth, social welfare, poverty, and more. The State Demographer used geographical analyses to determine where registered neighborhood and community associations were located and the number of San Antonians that resided in those areas. According to this research, San Antonio met and exceeded the SA2020 target in 2011!
